UFF, so many things have happened recently.
The last two weeks were very busy, first with Oil & Gas, Mining, Building & Infrastructure, Electric, Power & Renewable Energy exhibition where the Trade & Investment Promotion Division and KOPEX had installed their official stands.
As I have already informed you in previous letters, the Polish Business Club in Jakarta has a very good relationship with the Trade & Investment Promotion Division Office. They have placed our fliers at the stand to be visible to all of the visitors and specially those who would be interested in our existence.
Many of them were taken, so maybe somebody will try to contact us to with the business purpose.
I went there to see how the industries are improving and I had a chance to see for the first time in my life the real mining dump truck
Do you know that this truck has flywheel horsepower 1180 and the maximum payload 91 tones.
When I checked in KOMATSU catalog, they produce Dump Trucks with 3500 HP and 130 tons payload…………….. WOW.
The KOPEX stand was been professionally prepared (cold beer included) with our friend and Club member Marek Rosa in charge.
Another important happening was the Polish Business Mission to Indonesia.
From the 25th of September a group of Employers of Poland led by Undersecretary of State, Deputy Minister of Economy Mr. Maciej Kaliski have visited Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia and signed the Letter of Intent.
We had a pleasure to take part in it, by delegating our PBC committee member Natalia Sintadewi as the official translator ( Polish – Indonesian ) to the Polish delegation.
After the luncheon hosted by Ambassador of RI in Poland H.E. Darmansjah Djumala at The Four Seasons Hotel in Jakarta, the Cooperation Agreement has been signed between the Employers of Poland represented by its President Mr. Andrzej Malinowski and Director-General for American and European Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dra. Retno Lestari Priansari.
After Seminar and B2B meetings the busy day have been finalized by the dinner hosted by the Ambassador of RP in Indonesia H.E. Grzegorz Wisniewski.
All of us – Natalia, Marek and myself were present there.
The food – Balinese – was delicious.
The next day all of the delegation including representatives of Indonesian Embassy in Warsaw and the head of Polish Trade & Investment Promotion Division in Jakarta Mr. Romuald Morawski to Palembang in South Sumatra. They have been welcomed and hosted by the Regent of Banyuasin and introduced to the potential of investment in that area.
The next day on the 28th they have met a few local notables and learned about possibilities of taking part in developing of his region.
In the exchange our delegation promoted Polish economy with focusing at the mining sector.
On the 29th they were back to Jakarta and after short time available for last private meetings they left for Poland.
Just few days later there was another chance to promote our Club at the INTERFOOD INDONESIA exhibition this time.
Together with the Counselor Mr. Morawski we have tried to promote the best of Polish food ( pork hams and sausages ) but there were not many people interested.
Poland has already implemented HALAL rules for production and export of Polish food to Indonesia and you can read about it at: http://www.jakarta.trade.gov.pl/pl/CertyfikacjaHalal
As I have already informed you, we are planning to have our first gathering on the 19th of October.
Jointly with a group of Polish businessmen coming for the trade Expo Indonesia 2011 exhibition we will try to exchange our knowledge about Polish and Indonesian ways of doing business.
YES, this one of the reasons, we have established our Club.
I think it will be enough for this time and see you at the Cocktail party.
