20 Dec Happy Holidays 2020
Dear Members and Friends of the Polish Business Club in Jakarta,
It has been a few months since my last letter, but as probably all of you experienced in this full Pandemic slowdown, we are not acting and behaving normally.
All the official gatherings (but one – “Alpenstammtisch International”) have been postponed until further notice, while most of us have become masters in handling ZOOM or other webinar software.
Reconstructing our businesses, spending more time at home, limiting face – to – face meetings, all that lowers our energy and forces us to change our daily routines which we had mastered for many years.
Some of you contacted me to ask about our next Gathering but my reply was always the same:
‘For the time being, we must adopt some social distancing by wearing masks and keeping distance from people we are meeting”.
I tried to contact some of you to provoke a chat over a glass of beer or wine, but the response was: “ sorry, not ready yet, I’m still trying to limit to minimum my visits to the “Outer World”. I leave my place only to do the necessary shopping “.
My full respect to those people.
Christmas Season and the New Year are approaching!
No parties, No gatherings, No Bazaars. Only traveling is available (with some restrictions). So, taking a huge risk, we decided with my wife to spend Christmas with our elderly parents (86 & 87 years old) in Poland.
Just after the New Year, we will return to Indonesia to conduct for the fifth time the Final of the Great Orchestra of the Christmas Charity www.wosp.org.pl .
On the 9th of January, the Polish Business Club, with the enormously generous help of the Polish Community in Bali, is organizing the 29th Final of this incredible charity event. During previous four events we managed to raise over 400 mln IDR and donate it to Polish and Indonesian children.
Guests from Poland, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, Hongkong, Ireland and Indonesia used to join us, but in light of recent travel restrictions we will welcome mostly our Jakarta and Balinese friends. Because of that, this edition will be having a different – adapted format.
At a Sanur hotel (the location will be announced soon), in an open space connected to the beach, a big presentation screen plus ZOOM technology will connect all of those of you who would like to participate in our Charity Event.
Live and silent auctions will be available and of course LIVE Streaming.
Some activities for the local guests like a run on the beach with trash collecting are being prepared.
If you would like to be a part of our event by actively participating or only donating a few $ or IDR to support Polish children, please let me know and I will give you all the details how to do it:

Thera are still a few of weeks left before the Christmas Holidays, but on this occasion, I would like to wish you in a very Polish way
