In the middle of April on the occasion of the Food & Hotel Indonesia 2015 Exhibition, under the patronage of Polish Ministry of Economy and Trade and Investment Promotion Division in Jakarta, the “Made in Poland – Cooperation Opportunities for Indonesian Companies” Conference took place at the Borobudur Hotel. A large group of representatives from many Polish companies, mostly from the Food but also Mining, Medical Devices and Shipyard Industry, led by the Deputy Minister of Economy Ms. G. Henclewska, had a chance to meet with representatives of Indonesian Government and business. Minister of Industry Mr. Saleh Husin, Chairman of KADIN, Mr.Suryo Bambang Sulisto, Chairman of Indonesian Businesswomen’s Association, Dr. Elza Syarief, Director General of National Export Development, Ministry of Trade RI, Mrs. Nus Nuzulia Ishak, Polish Ambassador to Indonesia, Mr. Tadeusz Szumowski, and Indonesian Ambassador to Poland, Mr. Peter F. Gontha, participated in that Conference.

Two and a half weeks later, an official delegation led by Mr. Rahmat Gobel, the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia traveled with a business mission to Poland.
Not many of you probably know, but this year Polish and Indonesian Governments celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relationships.
On this occasion many events will be organized and one of them is the retrospective exhibition organized to celebrate the 95th birthday of the highly regarded Polish artist Josef Kulesza ,who lived in Indonesia from 1953 till 1956 and was back to paint in Jakarta and Bali during the years 1994, 1995 and 1996. On the 3rd of May, Poland celebrates its National Day as a commemoration of signing the first European Constitution –in the year 1791. On this occasion and also to celebrate the 60th anniversary, on the 5th of May, The Gedung Kesenian in Central Jakarta witnessed a Chopin Gala Concert played by one of the most talented young Polish pianists – Andrzej Wierciński.
More than 400 classical music connoisseurs and diplomats attended the concert and Indonesian Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fishery Susi Pudjiastuti was one of them.
School vacations are coming up very soon. Families are preparing for departures back home and because of that, we would like you to feel more relaxed as well. To make it happen, we decided to organize our next – the 22nd – gathering in a different format. We will upgrade the venue but will keep it at a very, very casual level.
